About Me
Grateful Glass is a home based business where I design, cut and fire my own glass pieces.

I am ever so grateful for the opportunity to create in the comfort of my home and share my art with others. I have always had a real passion for all types of colored glass and have been collecting pieces for years. I have taken classes in glass blowing, glass bead making and glass fusion. A recent trip to the Italian island of Murano fueled that passion and inspired me to do even more glass work. My husband, Ron, is my greatest source of love, inspiration and support, he makes all this possible. My children and grandchildren are my biggest fans, thank you for keeping me motivated and believing in me at all times.
The Green products are made from reclaimed or repurposed glass and scrap glass. The striped glass is a factory by product from Spectrum and I combine it with leftover glass from my other projects. No glass ever goes to waste. The regular pieces are always 100% recyclable and all my work is fused with a top layer of lead free food-safe clear glass. If you are looking to go green and decorate your home or give beautiful one of a kind gifts that are ecofriendly then please consider my work and help the environment at the same time.

Hot Glass or glass fusion is brought about by bringing the glass to a melting point in the kiln and thus fusing various colors together while maintaining the shape you cut. Slumping into a mold requires a second firing in the kiln to further shape your fused piece.
Glass tile mosiacs are made by hand cutting each piece of glass and then adhering and grouting them into a tray or box.
